Siteimprove’s release notes for April 2025
This page offers an introduction to the product updates and new capabilities we released to the Siteimprove platform in April. Designed to enhance your experience and help you achieve more with ease and efficiency. The April release includes:
- SEO product enhancement: AI Search Impact
- Siteimprove Accessibility Plugin for WordPress
- CMS Plugin: More actionable insights
SEO product enhancement: AI Search Impact
We’re excited to announce the release of AI Search Impact – a product enhancement that helps teams future-proof their content for AI-powered search. This enhancement identifies which SEO issues may negatively impact how AI systems interpret and summarize web content. With a dedicated indicator and filter in the SEO Issues table, and detailed context on the issue page, users can now prioritize the fixes that matter most in the evolving search landscape.
As search engines increasingly rely on AI to understand and rank content, traditional SEO checks are no longer enough. Many websites optimized for basic SEO still struggle to surface in AI-generated search experiences.
AI Search Impact helps you:
- Quickly identify SEO issues that affect AI-based search visibility
- Understand how specific issues influence AI interpretation
- Prioritize fixes based on modern search behavior
This release reinforces our commitment to delivering SEO insights that evolve with the industry. It is available to all customers with the SEO module enabled. No additional configuration is required. Navigate to SEO > Optimize > Issues and Recommendations.
Siteimprove Accessibility Plugin for WordPress
Siteimprove now offers a powerful CMS plugin for WordPress that empowers teams to identify, prioritize, and remediate web accessibility issues directly in the CMS page editor.
70% of WCAG 2.2 errors are missed by accessibility overlays, leaving organizations exposed to compliance risks. Quick fixes don’t offer a full and equal experience for all users—true accessibility starts in your website’s source code. Legal risk is rising, and automated overlays may do more harm than good.
Siteimprove’s Accessibility Plugin provides users up to 100 pages of accessibility scanning and real-time insights to create a more inclusive site and start improving compliance.
CMS Plugin: More actionable insights
Siteimprove’s CMS Plugin now features a detailed breakdown of the DCI score at the top of the ‘Live View’ tab. This helps guide you toward relevant insights across Accessibility, Content Quality, Policy, and SEO.
Additionally, we’ve introduced the ability to expand issue descriptions, making it easier to understand and address problems directly within the content management system (CMS).
